| As a native of the Town of Colonie, Bill is the first in the next generation of Hoblocks to hold public office. Bill's family has a long and distinguished history of public service in Albany County. Bill is serving his second term in the Albany County Legislature.
A graduate of Shaker High School, Bill earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from St. Lawrence University and graduated cum laude from Albany Law School. Admitted to the New York State Bar in 1997, Bill, an attorney, is the Managing Director of a full-service real estate development firm.
As a County Legislator, Bill serves on the Law, Public Safety and Court Facilities Committees. Previously, he served on the Times Union Center and Conservation & Improvement Committees. Outside the legislature, Bill serves on the Board of Directors of the Colonie Senior Service Centers. In addition, Bill sits as an Appeals Officer on the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles Appeals Board. Bill is also active in numerous civic and professional organizations, including membership in the Greater Loudonville Association.
Bill, who resides in Loudonville with his wife Kristin and their young children Jack and Peyton, is committed to representing all of the people in the 26th Legislative District by promoting honest, straight-forward givernment.
